ABOUT ME
I'm a Member of Technical Staff at Character.AI. Prior to that, I was a Senior Researcher in AI Cognitive Services Research group at Microsoft. I work on machine learning, including interactive machine learning, preference learning, natural language processing, multimodal learning, and deep learning.
Previously, I obtained my PhD degree from Machine Learning Departmant at Carnegie Mellon University. I was forturnate to be advised by Artur Dubrawski and Aarti Singh.
I got a Bachelor in Computer Science degree from Yaoclass, Tsinghua University. I've also interned at Microsoft Research (Redmond and Asia) working on deep learning and computer vision. Previously I also do research on game theory.

EXPERIENCES
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Interactive Machine Learning
I'm interested in improving the learning process by using diverse forms of feedback between human and computer. Rather than the simple sample-label model, I study other meaningful feedbacks (e.g., pairwise comparison), and how they affect the cost of learning and decision making problems.
Deep Learning & Natural Language Processing
I'm also interested in deep learning. I working on natural language understanding problems, such as QA and machine comprehension. I also used to work on computer vision and deep learning.
